Viva Italia!

J.Crew has launched a brilliant campaign stemming from the simple idea of making shoes in Italy. I would argue that this is a sustainable model based on the excellence of Italian craftsmanship. In other words, the longer the life of the shoe, the less shoes you will have to buy.

One obvious indicator of quality is the sewn in sole (versus a glued sole). Fortunately for us, J.Crew's classic style has proven to be a long-lasting trend.
